Role Scope

 · To be responsible for the scientific and strategic excellence of accounts across the business unit
· To hold key client relationships built-on strength of scientific knowledge and strategic insight
· To work alongside the Business Unit Director to drive the growth of the business unit and Lucid Partners

 · Senior team leader supporting the Business Unit Director in the delivery of the Lucid Partners’ and business unit’s visions and goals
· Senior point of contact for clients, building confidence in the service Lucid provides and ensuring a high level scientific and strategic partnership
· Has an expert level of understanding of client science and strategy, and maintains abreast of latest medical / scientific advances
o Considered an expert and a source of information regarding the evidence base in the therapy area
o Able to interact with medical leads and external experts on a peer-to-peer basis around client science / strategy, broader therapy area knowledge and current clinical inertia / practice
o Can lead scientific discussions internally and externally with credibility and authority
o Considered the internal expert regarding the mechanism of action, and able to interpret and challenge strategy based upon a detailed knowledge of the science and evidence
o Able to translate complex scientific concepts into accessible information for broader audiences
· Contributes to the development of the business unit’s annual plan
· Contributes toward the development and delivery of the Lucid Partners Medical Education offering, ensuring each offering is delivered effectively to clients
· Provides leadership to ensure the scientific and strategic excellence of account programmes / projects across the business unit, delivering industry best outputs
· Leads new business identification, and the development and delivery of new business proposals / pitches
· Mentors and coaches the business unit multi-disciplinary team (primarily the writing team, but also account team) to understand and confidently communicate around client science and strategy
· Is an ambassador for Lucid, helping build the profile and client base of Lucid
· Is a highly visible scientific leader of the business unit to all clients and KOLs, as appropriate, generating client traction and loyalty
· Ensures industry best quality and scientific accuracy of the work that leaves the Lucid office
· Contributes towards development of proposals / budgets and ensures projects remain within scope and actively identifies / flags projects going beyond scope
· Ensures compliance standards are met in-line with both Lucid and client expectations
· Helps identify and improve Lucid processes and resources to help develop a best in class agency
· Contributes to the broader training programme for Lucid Partners, particularly regarding writer development, to ensure employees are equipped to exceed clients expectations and assume greater responsibility for their roles
