If you have a scientific background together with a couple of years of relevant commercial/work experience and you would like to get into medical communications, then this could be a great opportunity for you.

What does this role offer you?

This role will provide you with the opportunity to become a rounded medical communications professional, combining client-facing and content development experience, capable of managing a range of medical communications projects to communicate a compelling scientific message.

What does the role involve?
  • Working within project teams, supporting and learning from Project Managers and Project Directors
  • Working across a diverse range of medical communications projects (including digital solutions, live events, stakeholder engagement, consensus programmes, research projects and training solutions) in a variety of therapy areas
  • Taking ownership in everything you do and steadily increasing the amount of responsibility you have for your own projects
  • Working on all aspects of project management, including:
  • Working closely on the scientific content
  • Writing, editing, checking, internet research
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals and our clients
  • Managing and briefing suppliers (designers, programmers, writers etc) and checking their work
  • Keeping track of costs
  • Supporting new business development – eg with research for proposals
What are we looking for from you?
  • You understand and are fascinated by medical science, whilst also being a practical organiser
  • You understand the commercial working environment and have the drive to get really excellent quality work completed
  • You excel in written English, with a really keen eye for spotting errors
  • You have the communications skills to deal with pharmaceutical company clients, healthcare professionals and our suppliers efficiently and professionally
  • If you have been working in any area related to the pharmaceutical industry, communications, scientific writing, publishing or editing, communicating science in any way, then this is a great advantage
