Job Details:
We’re looking for an excellent medical writer to join our growing medical communications agency. We are a small, highly driven agency whose passion and pride for excellent medical communications is evident in our work. We care about what we do and are committed to providing high-quality, compelling communications focussed on the content that matters.

Due to our ongoing success, we are keen to expand our team and are looking for a dynamic individual who will embrace the opportunities a small agency has to offer. Working with our clients at all project stages, you will have the opportunity to shape, direct and deliver scientific content across a wide range of projects in different therapeutic areas with a focus on rare diseases.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support the timely delivery of high-quality medical communication projects across multiple accounts covering a variety of therapy areas
  • Develop high-quality content with excellent attention to detail for medical communication pieces, including publications, scientific meetings and medical education programmes for review by lead writer
  • Research, analyse and interpret relevant information to help create a framework for project deliverables
  • Support the delivery of medical meetings and provide the necessary medical writer support with the support of a lead writer if required
  • Upload materials to client review platforms, marking-up references as required
  • Critically assess own work and develop skills in reviewing the work of others
  • Provide regular updates to the senior team on project progress
  • Liaise with clients/KOLs, with support from the senior team
Key requirements:
  • At least 1 years’ medical writing experience within a medical communications agency setting
  • Candidates must be educated to degree level (higher degree desirable) in biological or medical sciences
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience of writing a range of materials across multiple therapy areas
  • Has an understanding of the ABPI code and other relevant industry guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel with knowledge of Veeva management system desirable
  • Possess excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills
We are seeking a suitable candidate for full-time employment or part-time employment for a predominantly home-based position. We offer a competitive salary based on experience as well as flexible working hours in a family-friendly thriving company. Whilst it is envisaged that the person who is successful in this role will spend time working from home rather than coming into an office every day we do need that person to be available to come to team meetings in North Hertfordshire on a very regular basis.
