About the role
You will serve as a Lead Medical Writer and assist directors with resourcing and managing/developing the Scientific Services team to meet the content demands of customised Medical Communications initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for workload management, guiding the performance and personal development of the editorial team, supporting business development opportunities and improving delivery processes. What you''''ll do
- Ensure projects are assigned on a timely basis and monitor the editorial team for equitable distribution of workload
- Train, mentor and oversee the workflow of medical writers
- Serve as a key resource for questions and/or employee contacts
- Assist with content development, providing the information the that the team need to deliver projects effectively
- Work closely with the project management and client services teams to fulfil the ongoing potential of assigned client accounts
- Represent Fishawack at client meetings such as advisory boards, speaker-training meetings and business development initiatives
- Guide the performance and personal development of direct team and wider editorial team
- Advocating and updating processes and best practices to maintain consistently high-quality standards of delivery
About you
- Ideally 5 years''''+ medical communications writing and line management experience
- Higher degree in relevant subject; post-graduate qualification preferred
- Ability to work to your allocated deadlines and project specifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
