Set up in 2001, Fishawack is now one of the largest independently-owned specialist medical communications agencies – with over 300 employees across our offices in the UK, US, Switzerland and India – and still growing. We are now seeking an experienced Editorial Director for our Oxfordshire office.

The Fishawack Editorial Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining consistent high editorial performance and standards in their department. They:
  • have overall leadership of the local medical writing team
  • are responsible for resource planning and ensuring the high quality of all deliverables, as measured by client satisfaction
  • have oversight of the performance and development of their team, playing an important role in supporting the professional development and career progression of individuals in their team in line with evolving business needs and opportunities
  • represent their medical writing team internally across Senior Leadership and Management Team meetings, and Fishawack and the editorial function externally as required.
Specific for this vacancy is:
  • Leadership and management of the editorial team in Abingdon (team of approx. 20 medical writers)
  • Previous editorial team leadership experience within a medical communications agency setting
