The role

Cello Health Communications are presently looking tohire an Editorial Assistant to join our growing team.

In this role, you would support project teams and other members of the Editorial team, to ensure a high standard of consistency and quality of deliverables through editing, proofreading, formatting, styling and factchecking content for delivery for digital or print production, for standalone meetings or congress satellite symposia, and for submission to journals and congresses, within agreed timelines and budgets.

You will be able to successfully manage your workload priorities with limited supervision, while working across multiple projects. You will have a high standard of English language competence and a positive, ‘can do’ attitude. You will be a good team player, ready to offer help and support when needed, and foster good relations with project teams.

Key areas of work can be summarized as:

      Providing editorial support in the form of editing, proofreading and maintaining quality of all deliverables to a consistently high standard.

      Providing administrative support to project teams and the Editorial team as required.

      Developing skills and experience (via mentoring from line manager and other training).


·       A science degree, or an English Language degree plus an interest in or experience of scientific/academic research.

·       Some experience in an Editorial role,ideally from a medical communications agency or equivalent setting.

·       Meticulous attention to detail, well organized and methodical.

·       A collaborative, ‘team player’spirit.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
