Database Manager – Cheshire, Oxfordshire or remote (UK)

For an independent, privately owned, successful healthcare communications agency with generous salary and great benefits.

About the role:

* Support in setting up and managing various client databases (e.g. for publications and medical materials) in accordance with clients’ compliance and company processes.
* Provide a high level of database expertise to the editorial teams, managing the client management tools that are used to standardise and control document review processes, e.g. Datavision, PubStrat, Veeva PromoMats, Zinc, Content Lab. This includes:

       *Accurately adhere to detailed processes in order to maintain and manage clients’ database management tools
       *Accurately upload and download information regarding ongoing projects from various client databases.
       *Distribute materials via the client databases for review and approval, and send reminders as required.
       *Proactively forward information from the databases to relevant contacts both internally and externally.
       *Ensure all relevant internal and external processes are adhered to.
       *Generate reports from the databases as required.
       *Attend status meetings and maintain regular contact with internal teams.

* Assist with abstract/manuscript submissions, permissions/copyright and sourcing of references.
* Assist with transfer of value tracking, when required.
* Support with project management of client projects where necessary

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

* Minimum of two years previous experience in data administration and a background in health care communications/pharmaceuticals is required.
* Solid experience of using Datavision.
* Experience with PubStrat preferred.
* High levels of attention to detail.
* Methodical, process driven and strong communicator who can work well within part of an established team.
* Must have the ability to work under own initiative and have the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
* Familiarity with Good Publication Practice
* BSc (Hon) life sciences degree preferred but not essential
