Overall Purpose of Role
The purpose of this role is to provide the Financial Accounting team with transactional support during a period of growth and change of finance system. The role will require the successful applicant to integrate quickly within the established team in order to take over their day to day tasks as the move to the new system progresses in addition to assisting with the move.


Key areas of Activity
As Accounting Assistant your role will cover a variety of financial support requirements. The role will consist of:
·  Data entry of Purchase Invoices
·  Assist with the making and recording of foreign payments
·  Assist with travel and expense claims
·  Responsibility for reconciliation of employee expense accounts
·  Creditors ledger allocations
·  Assistance with monthly accounts as necessary including journals and maintenance of spreadsheets
·  Making enquiries using Accounts software
·  Organising/following up incoming and outgoing enquiries from the wider company
·  General admin support
·  Producing reports in Excel and word including for the migration to the new system as required
·  Ad hoc projects as required to support the rest of the finance team

The successful candidate will…
You will be highly organised and pay close attention to detail. A good knowledge of Excel and experience of the workings of a finance department is preferable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as is the ability to use your own initiative to prioritise your workload whilst working accurately and quickly.
