Background:

A rapidly growing Digital Medical Communications agency is looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join its team in London. This role will focus on the development and delivery of digital and video solutions for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running and take a lead on a number of existing accounts.

To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and experience:
  • Solid experience (2 years or more) in a similar role gained from working in a medical communications/medical education agency
  • Strong project management experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to complete projects within the agreed budget
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Life Sciences degree
The responsibilities for this role will include:
  • to manage the day-to-day activities of allocated projects
  • to develop project plans, timelines and budgets for projects in line with client brief, for approval by the senior team
  • to brief the internal team on project tasks and advise on allocated budget
  • to motivate and empower the internal project teams to produce high-quality and creative work
  • to proactively update the client and senior team on the progress of all projects on a regular basis
  • to maintain accurate financial records of all projects
  • to ensure that all projects are invoiced accurately and to maintain contact with the finance department regularly with budget status updates
  • to reconcile projects on a regular basis, and flag potential budget adjustments to the senior team and client
  • to proactively seek solutions to project- and/or client-related concerns
  • to lead client calls and f2f meetings and to promptly review and approve minutes
  • to oversee the update of status reports and send to clients
  • to oversee the management of third-party suppliers to ensure work is completed to high standards before delivery to client
  • to support the senior team on new business proposals by drafting proposal documentation and budgets
  • to assist with business growth by suggesting potential new project work for existing and novel clients
Internal support:
  • to oversee junior account team activities, and provide timely feedback on work produced
  • to mentor the junior account team on duties and carry out training for new starters
  • to give regular feedback to senior team on the development of junior staff
  • to develop positive and trusting relationships with the internal project team, demonstrating empathy and appreciation for their role
