A world leading consultancy specialised in commercialisation of services for the pharmaceutical & healthcare industry has a requirement for an Account Manager to join their fast growing Medical Communication team.

The position is to backfill other movers within the agency due to account expansion. There are a few junior in the team so they are looking for an experienced account manager to really take ownership of the account and keep on developing it while supporting the development of the more junior members of the team.

The role is permanent & full-time, office based in Cheshire with 1 or 2 days home based flexibility if required. The role offers full opportunity and training (both internal and external) for career progression together with a competitive package.

Salary & Benefits: £32-38 KGBP + discretionary bonus and excellent benefit package (can be discussed in detail over the phone)

Role and responsibilities:
You role will be to agree on processes with the client and ensure timely and thorough follow ups, advices and delivery while coordinating with the different content development teams.
As an Account Manager you will manage business on account worth £1-2 m annually (with a financial responsibility including writing of proposal, budgeting, monitoring of resourcing, invoicing & tracking payments…).

Requires skills and qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 years'' of relevant experience (in a MedComms agency)
* Demonstrable knowledge of the pharma industry and processes
* Ability to lead account executive on project basis and to mentor / support their progression.
* Ability to motivate account & project teams
* Strong experience supporting new business initiatives (identifying new clients and securing them, presentation to clients, negotiating terms of business, producing account development plan…)
* Exposure to different therapeutic areas
* Strong business acumen
* Excellent communication skills
