Job Details:

A fast-growing, independent healthcare communications agency with a blue-chip client roster has an opportunity for an account executive to join their team in their Surrey offices. This is your chance to develop your career in pharmaceutical and healthcare communications and marketing with a company that is passionate about great content and communications. In doing so you will play a critical role in creating innovative work for leading global pharmaceutical organisations.

You will be assisting with the implementation and delivery of a range of multichannel communications projects and services to ensure their smooth running. Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage and handle the needs of clients and other stakeholders on a daily basis, under the direction of the Account Manager (AM) / Senior Account Manager (SAM) / Account Director (AD)
  • Assist with the preparation of project specifications, definitions and budgets
  • Project administration, including contact and status reports, project plans and budget handling, and ensuring all documentation is up to date
  • In collaboration with the AM / SAM / AD, develop and maintain project plans and schedule of work for your accounts
  • Communicate with the client regarding overall progress of the project and in relation to individual elements of delivery as appropriate
  • Participate in client briefs and coordinate colleagues (creative, copy and production) in line with project schedule
  • Manage /coordinate changes and amendments to allocated deliverables, including uploading and referencing, plus management of job bags in client approval systems
  • Coordinate the quality control process for all deliverables on your accounts
  • Monitor financial status of projects and inform AM / SAM / AD of any budget or specification issues
  • Assist with meetings management, including logistics, venue management and associated materials, where required
  • Assist with the preparation and providing feedback on pitch elements
  • Brief and co-ordinate with external suppliers for the provision of services
  • Identify opportunities that help grow existing account business

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Relevant life sciences or marketing / communications degree
  • Interested in communications and pharmaceutical marketing, ideally with some previous account management experience gained within a medical communications, medical education and / or digital communications agency
  • An enthusiastic team player
  • Creative, inquisitive, with good listening skills
  • Approachable, keen to learn, organised and conscientious
  • Capable of handling multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate, with good understanding of Microsoft Office applications
