  • Develop financial reports on assigned accounts and regularly review with CSD/BUD.
  • Review and finalise project budgets and Synergist records with SAE/AM as required.
  • Work with SAE/AM to develop prospective revenue forecasts and ensure accurate checking against actual spend.
  • Identify and contribute to development of new processes to optimise project workflows and internal communications.
  • Contribute to internal and external initiatives.
  • Develop direct reports and mentor other team members in support of their personal objectives and development.
  • Manage internal and external resources, to ensure each assigned project will be delivered on time and on budget.


  • Educated to degree level in a life science
  • 6+ years’ experience relevant to the role
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal/relationship development skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and run year-on-year medical communications accounts
  • Line management ability (not necessarily experience) and mentorship of team members
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Ability to present complex information in a methodical and logical fashion
  • Ability to delegate to team members, both more junior and senior
  • Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management and adherence to deadlines
  • Thorough understanding of medical communications and delivery of tactical programmes
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and proactively
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Higher degree in life sciences
  • 7+ years’ direct experience within a full-service medical communications company
  • At least 3 years in client service capacity
  • Pitch experience
  • Motivational line management ability
  • Ability to influence colleagues and clients
  • Strategic insight, judgement and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand new therapy areas, including patient journeys, unmet needs, competitive landscape and new technologies
